GT Power 2500 Electric Start Inverter Generator GT2500ESi

I ordered this generator after the recent weather events that hit the North Island in Jan/Feb 2023, flooding, sustained power outages...I figured it was time to pick one up. Unfortunately pretty much every supplier of generators (including the big box retailers) were cleaned out of generators as it seems everyone else had the same idea as me. Managed to find this one which was available through Millie. Placed order and within 30 minutes had a call from Matt (owner) letting me know the shipment was held up in Picton due to the InterIslander Ferry ongoing cancelled sailings (weather and mechanical issues). I picked up the item a couple of days later (Matt offered to drop it around, but it's just around the corner from us). Easy to follow instructions had me up and running pretty quickly, have run it in for the initial 10 hours before performing its first engine oil change, again, a very easy process. Generator is now ready for action with 100 hours between oils changes (or 12 months, whatever comes first). Unit runs very quietly, can hardly hear it when running in the backyard on Eco mode, it does ramp up if you switch Eco mode off (as you should when starting it up for the first few minutes to allow to reach optimal operating temperature). Very happy with this unit, will serve us well for any upcoming power outages (we've tested it to run two fridge freezers, plus our Fibre ONT, Orbi Router and two 25 inch monitors which charge both laptops while in use), no complaints here. Highly recommend looking at this generator from Millin, not that I've needed it, but I'm sure the after sales support will be first rate based on other users experiences. Cheers Team.
