Don't Cry Over Spilt Paint
The original phrase 'Don't cry over spilt milk' is defined by dictionary.com as 'It doesn't do any good to be unhappy about something that has already happened or that can't be helped.'.
When setting up for a paint job they say the results are all in the preparation, one of the most important preparation measures is to mask and drop sheet all surfaces that you do not want any paint on. However occasionally best laid plans (or carelessness / over confidence) can still result in paint spills, these can range from the small to the magnificent. (see video at the end of my magnificent during the first lock down).
Large paint spills often involve insurance claims, replacing large sections of carpet or a living with a permanent residue on your concrete paths, while smaller drips are unsightly and annoying.
